Syria, Iraq to develop cooperation in the field of energy

Moscow, (ST) – The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tou’meh discussed with Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar means to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy, especially the oil sector.

 During a meeting on the sidelines of the International Forum of the Russian Energy Week in Moscow on Wednesday, the two ministers focused on the need to provide appropriate conditions for the work of oil and gas institutions in the face of the threats of the remaining terrorist groups in the oil and gas fields in the two countries.

The two sides stressed the importance of  moving forward in developing the Syrian-Iraqi relations to achieve economic stability and serve the interests of the citizens of the two brotherly countries in all fields.
