Syria, Iraq discuss ways of enhancing commercial exchange

DAMASCUS, March.2, (ST)- Prime Minister Hussein Arnous reviewed on Wednesday with his Iraqi counterpart Mustafa Al-Kadhimi the ways of enhancing cooperation in the economic, agricultural, industrial and service fields.
 
The two sides talked, during a telephone call, the ways of boosting the commercial exchange to strengthen relation between the markets of the two counties and achieving as much as possible the integrity between them in the light of the historical ties in the business sector.
 
They stressed the importance of cooperation in the energy sector taking advantage of the resources and infrastructure available in the two countries and the their optimal investment in the light of the instability from which the global energy market suffers, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
 
The two premiers also spoke about the challenges in the water sector in both states, affirming the necessity of the continuous joint coordination to ensure the rational management of the water resources and getting the water rights of Syria and Iraq according to international treaties and laws.
