DAMASCUS, Aug.11, (ST)-The head of the Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry, Samer Al-Dibs, discussed with the commercial attaché at the Iraqi embassy in Damascus Khattab Ali Ismail the mechanism of economic and commercial cooperation and ways of flowing Syrian goods to Iraqi markets.
During the meeting, which was held on Thursday at the headquarters of in the Chamber of Industry, the two sides discussed marketing mechanisms which would support the national economy, organizing exhibitions and selling the products of the two countries within exhibitions held in the two countries, in addition to securing the shipment of Syrian goods to Iraq and solving the problems that hinder the process of exchanging goods.
The two sides agreed on recognizing the certificates of origin that are certified by both the Chamber of Industry and the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus, otherwise they will be rejected by the border crossings, at the request of the Iraqi authorities.
