Syria, Iran to enhance economic relations

Damascus, (ST) – Enhancing economic cooperation relations between Syria and Iran was the main topic discussed during a meeting on Wednesday between Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil and the advisor to the Iranian Minister of Defense and the Head of the Headquarters of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, Eng. Mostafa Eshtebi and the accompanying delegation

Minister Al-Khalil stressed the importance of the efforts made to consolidate and develop bilateral relations and to implement projects of importance in various fields.

He noted the need to increase trade exchange operations according to the principle of (barter) for the benefit of both countries.

The meeting, which was held in the Ministry of Economy’s building, discussed overcoming the difficulties that impede the development of bilateral relations in order to achieve practical and feasible results on the ground.
