Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tohme discussed on Wednesday with the Advisor to the Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Iranian Economic Cooperation Council, Eng. Mustafa Dhabbi, and his accompanying delegation, means to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of oil and mineral resources.
The two sides reviewed the topics included in the joint agreement signed between the two parties, and stressed the need to follow up and expedite the implementation of the previously agreed upon projects, in a way that contributes to enhancing and upgrading economic relations. These projects which especially include areas of cooperation in the sectors of base oils and compressed gas to operate machinery.
Minister Tohme pointed out the importance of joint cooperation in maintaining gas turbines and compressors which are in the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources in the country instead of sending them to Iran to implement this matter.
