Syria, Iran to enhance cooperation in the field of communications

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Communications and Technology Iyad Al-Khatib discussed with the Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran Mirza Pour means of enhancing cooperation in the field of communications and information technology between the two countries.

During the meeting which took place in the Ministry’s building today, Al-Khatib stressed the importance of strengthening and developing cooperation with the Iranian side in the field of communications and infrastructure, given the distinguished Iranian experience in this field. He indicated the importance of exchanging experiences between the two sides, in a way that benefits the peoples of the two friendly countries.

For his part, Pour stated that the depth of the Iranian-Syrian relations is a strong base for achieving fruitful cooperation in the field of communications between the two countries. He stressed his country’s readiness to provide all the required support, which will reflect positively on the communications sector in Syria.
