Syria, Iran to boost media cooperation

Tehran – Secretary General of the Islamic Radio and Television Union in Iran Ali Karimian stressed the importance of cooperation of the resistance media outlets in facing what the region is exposed to of terrorist war and falsification of facts, SANA reported.

Karimian’s remark came during a meeting held in Tehran on Sunday with a Syrian delegation which encompasses 31 journalists from different media establishments.

He called for exchanging ideas and expertise, benefiting from all potentials in facing the schemes targeting the region and exerting all efforts in boosting the bilateral ties binding the two people in Syria and Iran.

For his part, Chairman of the Syrian Journalists Union, Moussa Abdelnour expressed Syrian people’s appreciation over Iranian leadership and people stances in supporting Syria in facing terrorism and its supporters.

 

Abdelnour reiterated the importance of coordination between the two countries to set up strategies for unveiling the falsification of the hostile media outlets which participated in shedding the blood of the Syrian people.

Earlier, the Syrian Journalists delegation visited Iranian al-Wifaq newspaper and Mehr News Agency and  discussed with officials from the two establishments need for enhancing and developing cooperation in facing the standing challenges .
