Tehran, (ST)- The Ministry of Health signed with its Iranian counterpart a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of medical and therapeutic cooperation.
The MoU was signed by the Syrian Minister of Health Dr. Nizar Yaziji and the Iranian Minister of Health Hassan Hashemi in the presence of Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran Dr. Adnan.
The memo provides for drug control mechanisms and pharmaceutical laboratory where this cooperation includes the transfer of expertise and resettlement and rehabilitation of the technical personnel in various disciplines governing medicine measures and quality assurance.
The memo discussed issues of rehabilitation and training in advanced disciplines which include studies and research in the areas of vaccines and control of fertility and infertility treatment and stem cells and genetically transmitted diseases.
The memo also included to facilitate the procedures relating to the supply of drugs from Iranian credit line, where it is to meet the needs of Syria medicines produced in Iran, as well as topics related with equipment and medical supplies and rehabilitation of cadres in the fields of engineering and maintenance.
Dr. Yaziji and his accompanying delegation toured both the Pasteur Center for the production of vaccines and serums bio-products, which is ahead in the region in the production of quality vaccines and laboratory “Sina Jane,” a center for the production of Biopharmaceuticals such as “Ante Veron” and medicines that treat cancer and diseases of anemia and inflammation joints and finally plant “Darrow Bakhsh” for Pharmaceutical Industries which manufactures formulations intended for injection and eye drops and growth hormone and many vital items.
