Syria, Iran discuss cooperation in the fields of infrastructure and housing

Prime Minister-designate Eng. Hussien Arnous received on Thursday Assistant of the Iranian Defense Minister and Head of Social Security Organization at the Iranian Armed Forces Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Zada and the accompanying delegation.
 
The two sides debated cooperation relations between Syria and Iran in the fields of infrastructure and housing, the way of getting benefit from the Iranian experience in fast construction of residential areas and desalination plants and the possibility of opening wider horizons for cooperation in the fields of power, water resources, oil and technical education.
 
Arnous underscored the need to go ahead with joint action to upgrade the economic relations to reach the level of the strategic political relations between Syria and Iran according to the instructions of the two countries’ leaderships.
 
On his part, the Iranian official referred to the importance of increasing bilateral coordination and cooperation in economic and investment sectors and reactivating the role of the private sector to set up joint projects.
