Syria, Iran Discuss Cooperation in Fighting Terrorism, Eliminating Terrorist Sleeper Cells

BAGHDAD, (ST)- Iraq’s Defense Minister Najah al-Shummari and Syria’ Ambassador in Baghdad Sattam Jad’an al-Dandah have discussed means of enhancing cooperation between Syria and Iraq, particularly in the fight against terrorism and eliminating terrorist sleeper cells, a statement issued by the Iraqi Defense Ministry said, according to the Syrian News Agency SANA.

 In a statement to SANA correspondent in Baghdad, al-Dandah affirmed that his meeting with the Iraqi defense minister comes within the framework of consultations between Syria and Iraq on coordination in the war the two countries are waging against terrorism.
