DAMASCUS, (ST)_Minister of Expatriates and Foreign Affairs walid al-Moallem received on Monday his Iranian counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif and the accompanying delegation.
The talks dealt with historic ties between the two brotherly countries and the ways of cementing these ties in the light of the common challanges that face the Syrian and Iranian peoples.
The two sides also discussed the importance of exchanging information and experiences to fight Coronavirus.
The two ministers affirmed that economic terrorism, manifested in the coercive sanctions being imposed ny US and its allies on Syria and Iran, poses a threat to the two countries’ peoples.
The recent regional and international developments were also on the table.
