Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Industry, Dr. Abdul Qadir Jokhdar, discussed with the Indian Ambassador to Damascus, Irshad Ahmed means of enhancing cooperation and developing relations in various industrial fields and building capabilities and human resources.
During the meeting which was held at the ministry building on Wednesday, Minister Jokhdar pointed out the importance of following up on the implementation of memorandums of understanding and agreements in the industrial field signed between Syria and India, and completing cooperation projects, in a way that achieves the common interest of both countries.
The Minister of Industry stressed the need to open new horizons that reflect the depth of the historical relations between the two countries and their friendly people, appreciating the positions of the Indian leadership, government and people in support of Syria.
For his part, the Indian ambassador highlighted the depth of the established and growing historical and strategic relations between Syria and India and the necessity of strengthening them through cooperation in the economic, industrial and agricultural fields and the constant endeavor to develop them.
