Syria, ICRC to enhance means of cooperation  

Damascus, (ST)- The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabbash discussed with the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in Syria, Stephan Sakalian  means of enhancing  cooperation in the health field.

Al-Ghabbash explained during a meeting at the Ministry of Health on Wednesday that the committee is an essential partner for the health sector, especially during the Corona pandemic and the earthquake disaster, as it provided great humanitarian and medical aid.

He stressed the need to enhance joint cooperation with the committee to determine aims and priorities to manage resources optimally and secure basic needs.

For his part, the head of the ICRC mission, expressed his desire to strengthen and activate the committee’s role in providing aid and services, in addition to supporting the partnership with the health sector. He pointed to the importance of strategic coordination for the coming years and the need to develop health plans.
