Syria gymnastics player Laith Najjar wins a silver medal in the World Cup

Cairo (ST): Syrian gymnastics team player Laith Najjar won the silver medal in the World Cup tournament held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, as part of the platform jump competition.

Najjar also achieved seventh place in the ground motion competitions.

Meanwhile, our national team player, Suhail Al-Kurdi, sustained an injury while warming up in the tournament. Despite that, he wanted to participate and performed  his sequel  which impressed the audience.

Players from 12 countries, (Egypt, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Morocco, Jordan, Serbia, Cyprus, Romania, Lithuania, Turkey and Ukraine in addition to Syria), are participating  in the tournament.
