Syria, France to enhance cooperation in the field of communications and information technology

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Heikal received a French delegation headed by the French Envoy to Syria, Mr. Jean-François Guillaume. The two sides discussed cooperation in developing the communications and information technology sector.

They also discussed the Ministry’s plan to rehabilitate the communications sector and the Ministry’s approach to strengthening partnerships to provide the best service to citizens.

They also discussed possibilities of cooperation between Syria and France in the fields of consulting and training in the field of communications and postal services.

The French delegation expressed its readiness to support Syria in the reconstruction phase, and the Minister welcomed the strengthening of cooperation for the benefit of the two friendly countries.
