Syria Facing Terrorist War Because of Support for Palestinian Cause, Resistance

TEHRAN, (ST)-Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has asserted that Syria is facing a terrorist aggression because of its support for the Palestinian cause and for resistance in the region.

The Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA) quoted Velayati as saying during “Palestine the Symbol of Resistance” Forum that “the terrorist war on Syria is waged because of its support for the axis of resistance in the region and today Syria is paying for supporting the Palestinian people and the resistance.”  

 

“Since the usurpation of Palestine by the Zionists, the Moslems have been struggling to liberate and restore it, but the Arab governments, except Syria, didn’t share this goal with their peoples, so the peoples were defeated particularly after Camp David accord. Only Syria kept steadfast and stood against this agreement.”
