Syria Faces Extremist movements of no Human Value: Indian Ambassador

 

 

 

DAMASCUS,(ST)_”  Syria is facing today violent extremist movements that  do not have any value for human life,” said the  Indian ambassador in Damascus  Fe Be Hren on Tuesday,  adding that the Syrians, despite the overwhelming conditions are able to proceed towards peace and realizations of  progress  and national reconciliation.

In a speech he made  in a ceremony  held on the occasion of concluding his term of office  to Syria, the Indian ambassador remarked that “India is interested in  what is happening in Syria, through its work in the UN  Security Council,”  stating that he conveys  the real picture of current events in Syria and that the   Ministry of Foreign Affairs of his country derives its information from the Indian embassy in Damascus directly rather than what quoted by hostile  media. “

 He reviewed joint projects and bilateral  relations between Syria and India, pointing out that his country and despite the conditions experienced by Syria continues to develop relations and cooperation, particularly in the field of education and in offering  scholarships.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmad Arnous stressed  deep historical and cultural ties that bind the two countries in all areas , pointing to the importance of continuing to work on enhancing them.

He added that both  Syria and India  hold common views  that Syria will be safe and sound as before  and it will soon  overcome the ordeal caused by terrorists on its land.

He expressed Syria ‘s gratitude over  India ‘s  efforts at the UN  and  regional and international forums and through its membership in the  UN Security Council where it supported its underlying  principles , especially in  respect to non-interference in the internal affairs of States.
