Syria Expresses Sympathy with Russia over Victims of Magnitogorsk Building Collapse

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria has expressed deep sorrow and sympathy over the death of scores of innocent  people in the collapse of a building in the Russian city of Magnitogorsk.

In official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affaris and Expatriates said in a statement to SANA that the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its deep sympathy with the leadership, government and people of Russia over the tragic incidnet which claimed the lives of scores of people and it extends its most sincere condolences to the bereaved families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery to the injured.

 A section of a ten-story apartment block collapsed in Magnitogorsk on December 31. According to the latest data, the accident claimed the lives of 38 people. Earlier reports said that the Russian Investigative Committee views a household gas explosion as the main cause of the accident, Tass reported.
