Damascus (ST): Syria expressed its sincere condolences and full solidarity with the government and the friendly Chinese people over the victims of the hurricane that hit different places in the country during the past few days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement: “The Syrian Arab Republic expresses its sincere condolences and full solidarity with the government and the friendly Chinese people for the victims of the hurricane that struck separate places in the country, and resulted in loss of life and property.”
The ministry added: “The government of the Syrian Arab Republic extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes the wounded and injured a speedy recovery and the return of the missing to their families, and expresses its full confidence that the government and people of the People’s Republic of China are able to overcome this painful ordeal.”
Vast Chinese regions were hit by Hurricane “Duxori”, which is the strongest in 140 years, and it was accompanied by heavy rains, resulting in dozens of victims and the displacement of hundreds of thousands as a result of the floods.
