Syria expresses condolences and solidarity with Venezuela over the death of dozens of citizens as a result of heavy rains

Syria has expressed its deepest condolences and solidarity with the government and the friendly Venezuelan people, following the death of dozens of Venezuelan citizens in the state of Aragua, as a result of heavy rains.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement today that the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its sincerest condolences and full solidarity with the friendly Venezuelan government and people, following the death of dozens of Venezuelan citizens in the state of Aragua as a result of heavy rains.
The Ministry added: The Syrian Arab Republic extends its deepest and most sincere condolences to the families of the victims, hoping for a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured.
The Ministry added: Syria affirms its confidence in the ability of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to overcome the effects of this tragedy, and announces its full support for the measures and efforts made by the Venezuelan government to mitigate these effects.
The Ministry concluded by saying: On this occasion, the Syrian Arab Republic renews its request to the United States of America to lift the coercive unilateral sanctions imposed by it on the friendly Venezuelan people.
