Syria distinguishes itself at Expo 2020 Dubai with its history and civilization

Dubai (ST):  The Expo 2020 Dubai has celebrated the National Day of Syria, among the national days of the participating countries. The Syrian pavilion witnessed a remarkable turnout from various nationalities, as many cultural and artistic activities were held that embody the Syrian civilization and its ancient history.

The celebration included, according to the Syrian expatriate journalist, Amal Al-Milhem, presentations of the treasures of Syrian history, including the first musical note in the world and the art of Arabic calligraphy for which the calligraphers of Damascus are  famous for, in addition to introducing the language of Sufism and its methods and contemporary Syrian music, attracting visitors who expressed their admiration for the Syrian culture and what it bears of human and civilized features.

Al-Milhim indicated that the team specialized in preparing the pavilion made great efforts to convey the image of Syria and embody its identity in this global event, referring to the brilliance and distinction of the Syrian presence in all international forums.

 

For his part, Syrian expatriate Samer Al-Akkad described the Syrian pavilion at  Expo as an area of Syria outside the borders, pointing to the great turnout witnessed by the pavilion from different nationalities, as the number of visitors today reached more than 4000 visitors who expressed their admiration for the artistic and cultural performances they saw.

Al-Akkad pointed out that the Julnar dance group participated in this celebration with folkloric panels that represent the fragrant Syrian heritage and other artistic and heritage performances that added their mark in the Expo in a unique and elegant style.
