Syria Denies News on Planning for bombing Acts in Saudi Arabia

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday denied news quoted by certain media , claiming that Syria recruited ” a person” in order  to bombard holy  sites during the last  al-Haj  Season, for the assassination religious and political  figures in Saudi Arabia and  to carry out bombing  operations in fuel stations in Jeddah.

“As denying this news categorically, the Syrian Arab Republic confirms  simultaneously its commitment to the safety and security of Saudi Arabia and its holy sites. The person who disclosed these false news,  claiming that was asked to carry out  a bombardment in Mecca  when pilgrims stand on Arafa mount as part of Al-Haj rituals , had never worked as a Syrian diplomat as he alleged, but  a former local employee  at the Syrian Consulate in Jeddah , and that he and those behind  him fabricated these statements in an attempt to undermine the steadfastness of Syria in the face of the conspiracy against her and to  offend the solid  fraternal relations between the Syrian and Saudi people.” The Statement read.
