Syria, Democratic Korea Discuss Boosting Parliamentary Relations
DAMASCUS, (ST)- Members of the Syrian-Korean Friendship Society at the People’s Assembly (PA) discussed during a meeting on Wednesday with Jang Myong , Ambassador of The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Syria, ways to enhance bilateral relations, including parliamentary ties.
During the meeting, which was held at the Korean Embassy’s headquarters marking 51st anniversary of establishing Syrian-Korean diplomatic ties, Member of the People’s Assembly Riad Taouz, Head of the Friendship Society, stressed the PA’s pride in the strong and distinguished relations between the two countries, peoples and parliaments.
On his part the DPRK ambassador affirmed that establishing diplomatic ties between Syria and Democratic Korea 51 years ago reflected the common higher principles on sovereignty, and friendship shared by both Syria and DPRK.
