Syria confirm participation in Grand Asian Championships

DAMASCUS,(ST)-The regional forum of the Olympic solidarity program and the Asian Olympic Council has wrapped up activities .

The Syrian Olympic delegation, who attended the forum, were:Ibrahim Aba Zeid,member of the Syrian Olympic Committee SOC and Nasser Sayed ,the SOC director.

Some 26 nations from Asia participated in the said forum which was convened in Bahrain.

Topped the forum’s agenda were: discussing the organizational skills of the grand Asian tournaments ,due to be staged this year, such as the Asian Games (South Korea) and the Asian Beach Games in Thailand.

Syria officially confirmed participation  in the said two events.

Participants in the meetings also discussed the special preparations of the Youth Summer  Olympic Games which will be held in China in August.
