Syria condemns Zionist terrorist aggression in Tehran that led to the martyrdom of Haniyeh

Damascus, (ST) Syria condemned the new crime committed by the Zionist entity by carrying out a terrorist aggression in the Iranian capital Tehran, which led to the martyrdom of the head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Ismail Haniyeh.

Syria also expressed its support for and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and extended its condolences to the Palestinian people who are steadfastly resisting the criminal aggression machine and affirms its permanent support for them in their just struggle to achieve their legitimate national rights and establish their independent state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Wednesday said in a statement, a copy of which was received by SANA: The Zionist entity committed a new crime at dawn today when it carried out a terrorist aggression in the Iranian capital Tehran, which led to the martyrdom of the head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Ismail Haniyeh.

It added that this despicable act came after a series of sinful Israeli attacks on many sites in the region, including the occupied Syrian Golan, Lebanon, and Iraq, in addition to its continued perpetration of genocidal massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Syrian Arab Republic condemns this blatant Zionist aggression and this serious violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which constitutes a violation of international law. It considers that the continued disregard of international laws by the Israeli entity, its failure to comply with the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly, and the calls of most countries of the world to stop its massacres, may lead to the ignition of the entire region.
