Syria condemns Israeli occupation’s brutal attacks against the Palestinian people

DAMASCUS, April.6, (ST)- Syria has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal attacks and repressions being carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

It has stressed its support for the Palestinian people and their right of freedom, independence, ending the occupation and establishing an independent state on its land with Jerusalem as its capital.

“The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the brutal attacks and repressions carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people in various parts of the occupied Palestinian territories, including the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and restricting the movement of worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The statement added that the arbitrary attacks of the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian citizens constitute a crime that contradicts international law, the legitimacy of human rights, international humanitarian law and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly.

It appealed to the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people and protect them, implement international legitimacy resolutions related to the Palestinian cause and stop these Israeli crimes immediately.
