Syria condemns the Zionist criminal aggression that led to the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

DAMASCUS, SEP.28, (ST)- The Syrian Arab Republic has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli criminal aggression on Beirut and held the occupying entity fully responsible for its grave consequences.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, said in a statement issued on Saturday: “ Today, brotherly Lebanon lost His Eminence the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as a result of a brutal and cowardly Israeli aggression that targeted a residential area in the southern suburb of the capital, Beirut, with tons of destructive bombs, which led to his martyrdom, along with a number of a large number of innocent civilians.”

“Through this despicable aggression, the Zionist entity confirms – once again – the characteristics of treachery, cowardice and terrorism on which it grew up, the absence of any moral values it has, barbarism and disregard for all international standards and laws,” the ministry added.

It went on to say: “With the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, all those fighting to liberate the land, and to preserve and protect sovereignty and independence, lost one of the role model for them in the struggle against the aggressors and resistance to the occupiers.”

The ministry concluded by saying: “The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms this criminal Israeli act, expresses its condolences to brotherly Lebanon and to all free people around the world for the martyrdom of the leader of the Lebanese National Resistance, and holds the occupying entity fully responsible for its grave consequences. Despite the feelings of sorrow and grief that the news of Sayyed Nasrallah’s martyrdom spread among free people everywhere, and among the Syrian people, who have never forgotten his supportive positions, his heroic career will remain a beacon for future generations to continue their struggle to liberate all the occupied Arab lands, and to ensure that Israel is held accountable for its crimes and shameful actions.”
