Syria condemns the massacre of the occupying entity in Jenin and calls on the United Nations to take urgent action to put an end to its crimes
Damascus (ST): Syria has condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the city and camp of Jenin, and their perpetration of a horrific massacre there, which resulted in the death of ten residents of the city and the serious injury of others.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement: “Israel, the occupying power and its terrorist government, adds this massacre to its record of acts of aggression, killing and violations of international law and international humanitarian law, taking advantage of the umbrella of impunity that has been provided to it by successive US administrations with extreme disregard for international law and flagrant double standards.”
The ministry added: “At a time when Syria reaffirms its support for the brotherly Palestinian people, and their right to establish their independent state on their lands in accordance with the relevant Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, and its attainment of full membership in the United Nations, it calls upon the member states of this organization to take urgent action to put an end to Israeli crimes and aggressions, holding Israel accountable for them, and implementing United Nations resolutions calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Arab lands, primarily resolutions 242, 338, and 497.
