Syria condemns the foiled drone attack that targeted Iranian air defense facility in Asfahan

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stressed that Syria condemns the foiled drone attack that recently targeted one of the Iranian air defense facilities in the city of Asfahan.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry said that “Syria expresses its solidarity with the Iranian leadership, army and people in the confrontation of such provocations that target Iran’s security, strength, prosperity and stances and pose a serious threat to the stability and security of the entire region”.

Syria calls for punishing and holding accountable the perpetrators of this cowardly act, which poses a threat to the region and the world, and warns of the consequences of such provocative and aggressive practices, the ministry added.

The Iranian Defense Ministry early on Sunday announced that its air defense units had fended off a drone attack on a military workshop in Isfahan.
