Syria condemns Israeli occupation forces’ continuous attacks on Palestinian people

DAMASCUS, May.11, (ST)-  Syria has condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ continuous attacks on the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories and their acts of raids and demolition of Palestinian homes, the bulldozing of their lands and displacement from their areas.

It has reiterated its support for the Palestinian people and their right of freedom and independence.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation forces’ continuous attacks on the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in Al-Quds [Jerusalem], and the attacks carried out by the settlers, who desecrate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation forces which practice the worst forms of assaults against the Palestinian people.

The source added that Syria also denounces the Israeli occupation forces’ attack on  Palestinian cities and towns, demolishing Palestinians’ homes, razing their lands and trees, displacing them from their areas, and confiscating their lands for building  thousands of settlement units, in flagrant violation of international law, the legitimacy of human rights, international humanitarian law, and the resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly.

The source reiterated Syria’s support of the Palestinian people and their right of freedom and independence, ending the Israeli occupation and establishing its independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
