Syria, China Seek Enhancing Dialogue to Give Impetus to Reconstruction Process in Syria

BEIJING, (ST)- President  of Shanghai International Studies University Li Yansong has stressed that China and Syria are partners who seek achieving mutual benefit particularly within the framework of jointly building the “Belt and Road”.

In a speech during the opening of a course organized by the Arab-Chinese Studies Center  for Reform and Development, Yangsong said that the course aims to build a platform to enhance dialogue and interactions between Syrian and China in order to give impetus to the reconstruction process in Syria.

 35 participants representing different government administrations in Syria are taking part in the course.

On his part, Mohammad Yasar Abdeen, Director of the General Company for Studies and Technical Consultations in Syria, said that “the relation between Syria and China is based on mutual respect and benefit,” hailing China’s support for Syria’s war on terrorism and for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
