Syria, China Discuss Boosting Construction Cooperation

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Minister of Public Works and Housing Hussein Arnous discussed here on Tuesday with a delegation from the Chinese company “S.E.N.Y” prospects of cooperation in the fields of the ministry’s work.             

After presenting an overview of the work of the ministry and its construction companies responsible for the largest part of infrastructure and important state projects, Mr. Arnous stressed that the areas of cooperation with Syria in the reconstruction phase are open to the friendly countries that stood with the Syrian people during the years of the unjust war against Syria.

  He pointed to the possibility of benefitting from the Chinese companies in the industrial cities spread in most provinces and to start the establishment of factories for their products, calling on the Chinese delegation to study the construction of residential neighborhoods, especially with the existence of important areas for investment and real estate development in a number of provinces, including “Aleppo, Homs and Hama.”

 The company’s director, Joan Shin, expressed his company’s desire to open areas of cooperation between the two sides, noting that the company “S.E.N.Y” is engaged in contracting and manufacturing equipment, including solar power, cement industry and asphalt as well as its work in power and water plants and it is the first company in China in this area and the largest 5 Companies in the world.

 The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company pointed out that the staff will work to study the establishment of a factory for machinery and engineering equipment in Syria and will help the company in the domain of financing and the establishment of housing units with high technical techniques.
