Syria chairs the 163rd meeting of OAPEC’s Executive Bureau held to discuss the organization’s draft budget 2023
The Executive Bureau of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) on Saturday held its 163rd meeting in Kuwait under the chairmanship of Syria’s Deputy Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Khaled Al-Aleij as Syria is the president of the organization’s ministerial council from January 2022 until January 2023.
OAPEC Secretary General Ali bin Sabt said the meeting discussed the organization’s draft budget for 2023 and agreed on it in preparation for submitting it during the meeting of the organization’s ministerial council due to be held in Kuwait in December, 2022.
Several topics on the agenda were also discussed, mainly the latest developments related to implementing a plan for reactivating and enhancing OAPEC’s activities and ways of boosting cooperation among the Arab member countries in the petroleum industry, according to bin Sabt.
