Syria calls on UNSC to put an end to Zionist entity’s breaches

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Once again, Syria reiterates that it has the right to immediately respond to any breach of its sovereignty and territories under the UN charter, Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said.

In a letter sent to the UN Security Council about Israel’s recent violations of the Syrian sovereignty, the ministry said: “Today morning, an Israeli vehicle crossed the ceasefire line and headed towards the village of Ber Ajam inside a liberated area in the Golan where there are armed terrorist groups, so the Syrian armed forces destroyed the vehicle with everything that it had in it. Later on, Israel fired two heat rockets from Tal al-Faras in the occupied Golan towards the Syrian Arab Republic’s territories.”

The ministry  underscored that the two incidents are new breaches of the UN charter and the Disengagement agreement and an attack on Syria’s sovereignty.

“The Syrian Arab Republic has responded to this violation within the framework of practicing the right of self-defense under the UN charter,” the letter read.

It reminded that the Syrian government has previously informed the UNSC about the Israel’s violation acts and meddling in Syria’s internal affairs.

Israel offers logistic support to the armed terrorist groups in Syria and in the Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) Zone, the ministry affirmed.

It called on the UNSC to fulfill its role in putting an end to the Israeli violation acts.
