Syria calls on the world to reject the devilish delusions of the Erdogan regime and affirms that it will confront them through legitimate means

Damascus (ST): Syria affirmed its absolute rejection of the statements of the head of the Turkish regime regarding the establishment of a safe zone, and demanded that the countries that immersed themselves in financing these criminal projects immediately stop supporting this regime in achieving its demonic delusions, stressing that it will confront this conspiracy by various legitimate means.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement: “After the ridiculous statements made by the head of the Turkish regime regarding the establishment of a safe area in northern Syria, the aggressive games drawn by this regime against Syria and the unity of its land and people are revealed.”

The ministry added: “The despicable bargains that the Turkish regime has made and is doing show the lack of a minimum level of political and moral understanding in dealing with the crisis in Syria because the Turkish regime was and still is bombing Syria .It continues to plot against Syria and its involved in a divisive fragmentation project that only serves the purposes of (Israel), the United States, and the West.” 

The ministry clarified that the establishment of such a zone does not aim at all to protect the border areas between Syria and Turkey, but rather the main objective is colonialism and the establishment of an explosive outpost called the so-called safe zone, and it mainly helps to implement terrorist plans directed against the Syrian people.

The ministry stressed that the so-called safe zone is in fact a zone of ethnic cleansing and population transfer and a threat to the lives, future and property of the people there, and it threatens to permanently detonate the situation between the two neighboring countries. 

The ministry affirmed that the government of the Syrian Arab Republic absolutely rejects such games and calls on countries in the region and abroad that have invested themselves in financing the propaganda for these criminal projects, to immediately stop supporting the Turkish regime to realize its demonic delusions and not to provide an opportunity for Erdogan’s schemes, which have proven dangerous to the region and the world.

The ministry pointed out that anyone who presents justifications under claims covered with slogans that have proven to fail and encourage Turkish misinformation about the establishment of a safe zone is an integral part of this scheme, stressing that the unity of the land and people of Syria should be the absolute criterion in confronting these schemes and not the call for the establishment of separatist areas in northeastern Syria or in its northwest.

The ministry said that Syria calls on the international community not to compromise Erdogan on the lands of other countries in order to achieve short-sighted goals that would have catastrophic effects on security, peace and stability in the region and the world, especially since Erdogan’s rejected practices have affected many parts of the world, threatening the credibility of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

The ministry concluded that Syria will confront this new and old conspiracy by various legitimate means in defense of its people and the unity of its land.
