Syria Calls for Stopping Zionist Enemy’s Attacks on Syrian Territories

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Israeli enemy  warplanes on Wednesday evening fired four rockets from the Lebanese aerospace against a copper factory for civil industries in Hessya Industrial Zone in Syria’s Homs.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday complained to the UN and the Security Council about this new flagrant Israeli aggression, urging immediate and firm measures as to put an end to the Israeli repeated attacks on the Syrian territories.

In two letters to the UN Chief and President of the Security Council, the ministry warned against the continuity of the Israeli attacks on Syrian civilians and properties and warned against the repercussions of the Zionist enemy’s support for the terrorist organizations,  stressing that Israel keeps funding, arming and sheltering terrorist groups and providing medical treatment to injured terrorists.

The Israeli repeated attacks on the Syrian territories come as a response to the major victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab army over terrorist organizations, said the ministry, adding that these attacks have become a systematic behavior of the Israeli occupation authorities aiming to provide protection to the terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and Deash and to raise the morale of the terrorists all over Syria.

The Israeli aggression coincides with the 100 anniversary of the ill-famed Balfour Declaration and adds a new evidence that the occupation authorities are not satisfied by practicing state terrorism against the Arab population in occupied territories in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon, rather it seeks playing the role of the official sponsor of terrorism, the ministry went on to say.

The ministry added that the government of the Syrian Arab Republic urges the Security Council to condemn the Israeli flagrant aggression  and calls on it to adopt immediate measures as to stop such attacks and hold Israel accountable for supporting terrorism.
