Syria calls again for the Security Council to assume its responsibility and stop the Israeli terrorist attacks on its territories

Damascus, (ST) – Syria again called on the Security Council to assume its responsibility in the framework of the United Nations Charter and take firm and immediate measures to stop the Israeli terrorist attacks on its territories.  Syria stressed that, this dangerous aggressive approach to the occupation authorities is a result of the unlimited support provided by the U.S and some other members at the Security Council.

The ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a letter sent on Wednesday to the UN General Secretary and President of the Security Council that, at 1:30 am on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression targeting a unit of our air defenses in the countryside of Damascus, causing the death of one solider and wounding three soldiers, as well as causing material damage.

The Ministry added that this aggression comes after five days of its last aggression dated on December 25th, 2020, in addition to many similar aggressions during the years of the terrorist war.

The ministry added that, the Syrian Arab Republic condemns this brutal aggression on Syrian lands which is a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution No. 350 of 1974 relating to the Separation of Forces Agreement, and affirms that these repeated attacks represent the hostile nature of “Israel.

These attacks prove once again that the Israeli occupation authorities continues  practicing terrorism especially after the failure of the terrorist forces which conspired against Syrito implement their plans that aim to provide continuous support to the armed terrorist gangs.
