Syria, Belarus to Enhance Cooperation in Medicine Industries and Medical Equipment

MINSK- Health Minister Nizar Yazigi discussed Tuesday with Belarusian officials ways to enhance cooperation in the field of Pharmaceutical industry, medical equipment and providing support to health sector in Syria, according to SANA.

Meeting Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Vasily Zarko , Minister Yazigi said the government started the process of reconstruction in some medical facilities which were destroyed by terrorism, at the same time, it has went ahead in the delivery of medical and therapeutic medical services to the needed.

 He added that Syria and Belarus are going to sign a protocol of understanding in the field of integrated drug supply system and medical equipment.

Zarko, for his part, affirmed that his country has a serious political will to offer all forms of support to Syria during the conditions to which the country is passing through, showing a great interest in cooperation with Syrian in all fields, particularly in medicine industries.

Minister Yaaigi also met his Belarusian counterpart, Dr. Valery Malashko and discussed with him the possibility of cooperation in developing medical and pharmaceutical industries, opening markets between the two countries and transporting biotechnology to Syria, particularly that Belarus is one of the leading countries in the pharmaceutical industry.
