MINSK, Jul.28, (ST)-The Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Omrani, has discussed with Nadezhda Ginadavina, the Director of the Belarusian Child Care Center – Zubrunak Health and Recreational Camp- preparations for the camp which will be held next August for more than 80 children of martyrs and other Syrian children, in continuation of the humanitarian initiative of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, which began 5 years ago.
The ambassador showed the Syrian side’s appreciation for the Belarusian humanitarian initiative and for all the efforts made and exerted by the concerned Belarusian authorities to make the recreational camps for Syrian children who have suffered during the past years from the terrorist war and the unjust economic sanctions on Syria a success.
He also hoped that these camps will continue as they reflect the strong friendly relations between the two countries, stressing the determination of the Syrian side to take all necessary preparations and measures for the success of the camp this year due to its role in knowledge and cultural development, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
For her part, Ginadavina indicated that Belarus wishes to continue to receive Syrian children in these camps and to provide them with care, expressing her appreciation for the strong friendship between Belarus and Syria, which is reflected in these camps.
She clarified that the number of Syrian children who have been received since 2017, has reached over 1,000 children from different groups, expressing her admiration for the energy they have.
