MINSK, April.4, (ST)- The Belarusian Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergey Kovalchuk, discussed on Monday with Syria’s Ambassador in Minsk Mohammad al-Omrani the cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, especially tourism and sports.
During the meeting, the Syrian ambassador conveyed the proposals of the Ministry of Tourism to develop tourism cooperation by taking advantage of the tourism potentials of the two countries, referring to Syria’s desire to increase the movement of tourists from Belarus to Syria through the establishment of joint tourist activities.
For his part, Kovalchuk expressed the readiness of his country to increase cooperation with Syria by organizing a series of joint events in the fields of sports and tourism, especially after the return to normal life to Syria.
He asserted that his ministry is ready to discuss the Syrian Tourism Ministry’s proposals to implement them.
