AMMAN, (ST)- In their opener in the West Asia Basketball Championship, currently being held in Amman, Jordan, the men’s national basketball team beat their Iraqi counterparts 72-68.
Right from the beginning of the match ,the national team dominated the first three quarters Syrian basketballs Rami Murjaqna, who scored 27 points, excelled and was named as man of the match.
Hakam Abdulla also gave an impressive performance where he scored 22 points.
It is to be noted that six teams are participating in the said event: Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, Jordan plus Syria.
