Syria, Bahrain to enhance cooperation in the field of education

Damascus, (ST) -The  Minister of Education Dr. DaremTabbaa and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Syria, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, discussed the importance of activating and developing relations in the field of education between the two countries.

During the meeting, which took place at the Ministry’s building on Wednesday, Tabbaa pointed to the importance of renewing the signing of the agreement  between the two countries and setting an executive program for it. He talked about the role of the educational sector in Syria in maintaining the cohesion of society by enhancing the focus onpatriotism among students.

Tabbaa gave a brief overview of the educational reality in Syria during the war and the mechanism of work to restore and rehabilitate schools. He stressed the Syrian state’s keenness to attract Syrian students wherever they are to ensure their right to education.

In turn, Ambassador Sayar affirmed his country’s keenness to support the ministry’s steps in the field of rehabilitating schools based on the brotherly relations between the two countries. He expressed the desire to renew the agreement signed between the two sides.
