Syria asserts the Trump Administration offers unprecedented support for Israel’ s plans in occupied Arab lands
Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva Hussam Eddin Ala has reiterated that the restoration of the occupied Syrian Golan up to the June 4 1967 line by all means provided by international law is a national priority and a right.
In a speech at the 43rd session of the Human Rights Council, Ala said that the Israeli occupation forces continue to violate international law and human rights in the occupied Arab territories, asserting that some of the Security Council’s permanent members, mainly the United States, protect the Israeli violations.
“The destruction of cities and villages and the displacement of their occupants is the essence of the criminal policy adopted by Israel since the first day of its occupation of Palestine and the Syrian Golan,” Ala added.
He referred to the unprecedented support being offered by the Trump administration for the Israeli settlement plans that accelerates the illegal annexation of the occupied Golan and the Eastern part of al-Quds.
Ala called on the High Commissioner of Human Rights to put presurres on the Israeli occupation forces to open Quneitra Crossing point to the Syrian citizens in the occupied Golan to visit their relatives in the homeland and to offer medical care to Golan people amid the outbreak of Covid-19 .
