Moscow (ST): Syria and Russia signed a cooperation agreement in the sports field valid until 2024. TASS news agency reported that Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matitsyn and President of the General Sports Federation Firas Mualla signed the agreement within the “Russia… A Sports Power” forum, which was held yesterday in Moscow.
The agreement includes holding training events and joint sports activities during the next two years in 10 sports, namely boxing, judo, karate, weightlifting, swimming, tennis, basketball, wrestling, athletics and football.
The agreement also stipulated deepening interaction and cooperation between universities in the field of sports sciences.
