Syria and Iran sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of administrative affairs and employment
On February 21st, Syria and Iran signed in Tehran a memorandum of understanding for bilateral cooperation in the field of administrative affairs and employment.
Minister of Administrative Development Dr. Salam Safaf and assistant to the Iranian president and head of the Organization for Public Administration and Employment Affairs Dr. Maytham Latifi signed the memorandum.
The memorandum deals with cooperation in the field of administrative development and benefiting from the experiences of both parties, especially human capacity building and management.
The two sides held a session of talks that dealt with ways to enhance cooperation in the field of administrative development, administrative reform, training and qualification, administrative performance, human resource management, and the use of information technology to reach the desired goals.
Minister Safaf said: “We have in Syria plans, work programs and administrative policies to achieve administrative development and administrative reform by enhancing the performance of human resources, providing cadres and workers in different sectors with administrative training, raising the level of awareness and qualification, in addition to amending and updating regulatory laws and benefiting from information technology to achieve development, administrative performance and employment.”
Minister Safaf stressed that the start of cooperation in the field of human resources between the two countries is a qualitative leap in the relations between them.
For his part, Latifi affirmed full readiness to cooperate with Syria and to put the Iranian side’s expertise within the reach of the Syrian side.
The two sides stressed the importance of working within qualifying training workshops that contribute to raising the level of administrative awareness by making use of modern technology.
For his part, the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Diop, affirmed that establishing bilateral cooperation in the field of administrative development as a new field of cooperation.
Minister Safaf also held a session of talks with the digitization assistant and the human resources development assistant in the Employment Affairs Organization, and views were exchanged and closely acquainted with the available capabilities and how to benefit from them to serve development and achieve the desired goals.
