Syria and Iran discuss cooperation in emergency response to those arriving from Lebanon due to Israeli aggression
The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Louay Kharita, Head of Supreme Relief Committee discussed with the Iranian Ambassador to Syria Hussien Akbri, ways of cooperation and coordination between the two sides to achieve emergency response to those arriving from Lebanon as a result of the brutal Israeli aggression.
Kharita emphasized the work to implement the directives of President Bashar Al-Assad to stand by our brothers in Lebanon in all sectors without exception and without hesitation, and to establish procedures and facilities that are provided to expatriates.
He noted the decisions issued by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Supreme Relief Committee, which contributed to facilitating and simplifying the procedures for their entry through border crossings, securing their necessary needs, and hosting them either in shelter centers for their residence or hosting them by families in their homes and providing all the requirements for their residence.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador wished Kharita success in his new duties, and stressed the continuation of coordination between the two countries in various aspects to provide support and ensure the success of the emergency humanitarian response for the expatriates, especially in light of the current situation. He noted in this context the arrival of the first plane carrying humanitarian aid for the expatriates.
