Syria Always Ready for Dialogue That Stops Bloodshed in the Country

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban has stressed that Syria has always been ready to take part in every forum or dialogue that puts an end to the shedding of the Syrians’ blood.

In a statement to reporters following her meeting with a delegation representing the British House of Lords and the Anglican Church visiting Syria, Shaaban said the Syrian government doesn’t surrender to the blackmail or the anti-Syria propaganda launched by Syria’s enemies and their tools who are part in a Zionist scheme in the region.

Shaaban talked about the policies adopted by some western countries that have supported takfiri terrorist organizations like Jabhat al-Nusra and Daesh, pointing out that it is not in the interest of the West or the entire world to back terrorism which has become a dangerous pandemic threatening mankind.

All countries of the world must back Syria’s efforts to defeat terrorism that may target all in future, she added, asserting that Britain should reconsider its policies towards Syria and the region and urging peoples of the West to speak up and support right against the wrong policies of their countries.

Shaaban reiterated the importance of the British delegation’s visit in establishing contacts between the Syrian and British peoples with the purpose of confronting the media blackout and misinformation that have sought distorting facts. She pointed out that such visits have become an essential means to reach the truth about what is going on in Syria and then convey this truth and the voice of the Syrian people  to the entire world.

Visits by foreign delegations are the result of the steadfastness of the Syrian state, people and army, the steadfastness that made the world realize that Syria is invincible and the war will end with Syria’s victory over terrorism and its supporters, Shaaban clarified.

On her part, Caroline Cox, the Independent member of the British House of Lords, said Syria is recovering from terrorism as most of the country has become clean of Daesh terrorist organization, stressing that the stance of the British people on Syria is different from that of its government.

Other members of the delegation said they wanted to know the facts that the Syrians want to tell the western community about, expressing rejection to their country’s policy towards Syria and voicing support for the Syrian people in their struggle against terrorism.
