Syria’s participation in Gulfood 2024 confirms the distinction of Syrian food products

Dubai, (ST) – With the participation of 29 Syrian companies specialized in the food industry, the activities of the 29th edition of Gulfood 2024 opened on Monday in Dubai.

Gulfood is considered the most important and largest international exhibition specialized in the food industry in the world. The event was launched yesterday at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates.

The Syrian participation is organized by the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports and the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Markets, in cooperation with the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Damascus.

The Syrian Consul General in Dubai, Dr. Ziad Zahreddine participated in opening the Syrian pavilion.

Director General of the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports Thaer Fayyad noted the importance of the Syrian participation in the exhibition, which constitutes the most important gate to international marketing of food products, and is considered the first destination for food importers in the world.

Fayyad indicated that the Syrian participation confirms the importance of Syrian food products and their distinction in terms of quality and taste, and they are popular in the Arab and international markets in terms of type and specifications in accordance with the latest international standards that meet the requirements of the international market. This matter is confirmed by the massive influx of businessmen and visitors to the Syrian pavilion.

The exhibition continues until the 23rd of this month with the participation of 127 countries and more than 5,500 companies specialized in the food industry and marketing.
