Syria’s month in Chile, an event held in solidarity with Syria

Santiago (ST): The Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Chile Sergio Abed called on the countries of the world to stand in solidarity with Syria in the confrontation of terrorism and the repercussions of the earthquake disaster.

The Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Chile pointed out that Syria has withstood the aggression, terrorism and the harshest conditions, especially the devastating earthquake, which necessitates the countries of the world to stand by Syria and show solidarity with it, just as it stood by the humanitarian issues in the world.

This came during a prayer for Syria held by the sons and representatives of the Syrian community in Chile in cooperation with the Syrian embassy and in the presence of a number of members of the Arab diplomatic corps and a crowd of Arab and Syrian expatriate associations and clubs.

This prayer comes at the beginning of the solidarity activities held by the Syrian expatriate community and clubs throughout the current month, entitled “The Month of Syria in Chile”, as an expression of the loyalty of the Syrian expatriates to their motherland, Syria, and their solidarity with it, and as an affirmation of their belonging and loyalty to it.
