Syria’s Al-Thawra basketball team won the match against the Iraqi’s Gaz Al-Shamal team

The Syrian Al-Thawra basketball club team on Tuesday achieved its fourth victory in the first round of the currently held Arab Women Sports Tournament in Sharjah, UAE, by defeating the Iraqi Gaz Al-Shamal club team 77-58.

The Syrian team won the three matches it had played with the Kuwaiti Al-Fatat team, the Emirati Sharjah team and the Saudi Al-Asimah team.

On Thursday, Al-Thawra will face the Jordanian Al-Fahis team and will conclude its competitions in the first round by facing the Bahraini Al-Ahli team on Friday.

According to the tournament’s system, the teams face each other in the first round. The third and fourth-ranked teams will play for the third and fourth positions, while the teams that ranked first and second will play for the first and second positions.
